AUBURN — Natalie Thurber led a balanced scoring attack with 15 points as Central Maine Community College defeated Community College of Rhode Island 76-71 in a women’s basketball contest Friday.
Alex Bessey put in 13 points while having five steals and four assists for the Mustangs (15-1). Brooke Reynolds chipped in 12 points for CMCC, and Jordyn Reynolds had 10.
Tiondra Hands led CCRI (12-9) with 15 points, and D’Asia Allen and Nia Mims had 13 points in the losing effort.
