Poet Robert Farnsworth will read from his poetry at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at Edmund S. Muskie Archives, 70 Campus Ave., Lewiston. He is the founder of Bates’ creative writing concentration and the college’s Literary Arts Live series, of which this reading is a part. Farnsworth has taught poetry writing and literature at Bates for 26 years, and retires this year. Admission is free. For more information, call 207-786-6256.
