AUBURN — Celebrate Black History Month with discussion groups hosted by Charles Nero and Karen Lane at the First Universalist Church of Auburn. These sessions will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sundays, Feb. 11, 18, and 25.

Each week, a 20-minute episode of the podcast, “Uncivil,” will be followed by 30 minutes of discussion. No homework is required. Bring a lunch. Light snacks will be provided.

“Uncivil,” Gimlet Media’s new history podcast, brings stories that were left out of the official history of the Civil War. It brings untold stories about resistance, covert operations, corruption, mutiny, counterfeiting and antebellum drones. It connects the forgotten struggles to the political battlefield right now.

“Uncivil” is hosted by Chenjerai Kumanyika, author, journalist and professor of journalism and communications at Rutgers University, and Jack Hitt, a Peabody Award-winning journalist, author and radio producer.

The First Universalist Church of Auburn is located at 169 Pleasant St. For more information, call 207-783-0461 or visit www.auburnuu.org.
