TURNER — DFD Russell Medical Centers announces that Gary Rivard, doctor of osteopathic medicine, has been named the medical director of the center at 7 Main St., Turner.
Certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Osteopathic Family Medicine, Rivard brings more than 12 years of diverse experience to the DFD team. He previously practiced at Elsmore-Dixfield Family Medicine and Rumford Hospital, where he was lead physician.
His specialties include chronic disease management, musculoskeletal medicine, and contraceptive care. He is skilled at patient education and strives to engage patients and families so they may have a clear understanding of their health issues and/or the rationale behind treatment options.
