Competitors start the long race as several dozen fat bike enthusiasts participated Saturday in a race dubbed “Snowmaggedon” held on the Bethel Village Trails. Racers started the course just behind the Bethel Inn Resort, on the inn’s cross-country ski trails, and made loops around the 3-mile course. A short race featured two loops and a longer race four. Saturday’s competition was hosted by Bethel Village Trails, the Bethel Inn and Barker Mountain Bikes of Bethel, and featured prizes from Barker Mountain Bikes for top finishers and a meal at the inn for everyone.
