LEWISTON — Community Health Options is sponsoring the next Power Lunch Seminar: Green Dot LA Bystander Training, from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 7.

It’s hosted by the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce at the chamber conference room, 415 Lisbon St.

The training  will offer safe and effective ways to deal with a situation where a person witnesses hurtful words or threatening behaviors being directed toward another person. 

Presenters include:

• Peter Elias, an Auburn resident since 1977 who worked as a family physician at Family Health Associates until his retirement in 2015;

• Karen Lane, born and raised in Lewiston, who roamed the world as a migrant worker, then worked as a corporate lawyer and now is the office administrator for First Universalist Church of Auburn;

• Silver Moore-Leamon, a teacher and administrator, retired from Hebron Academy and then from Auburn Adult Education and lives in Auburn; and

• Blake Reilly, who has lived in Lewiston since 2014 and works at Bates College as director of residence life.
