LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, together with the Central Maine Human Resource Association and the Lewiston CareerCenter, will hold HR Thursdays from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at the chamber, 415 Lisbon St.
The topic is Creating Handbooks & Policies that Work, presented by Tawny Alvarez from Verrill Dana in Portland. Alvarez will discuss the pros and cons to new and steadfast sections of the employee handbook, what are some of the changes to old norms and what is a definite must-have new area to cover.
