OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Elaine M. Gallant, 69, of McIntosh Drive, Old Orchard Beach, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
She was born in Rumford, Sept. 14, 1949, the daughter of Francis and Beatrice McInnis. She attended local schools and graduated from Stephens High School.
She was a homemaker for several years, then she worked as a CNA before working nights for the U.S. Postal Service. She and her husband moved to Old Orchard Beach about seven years ago.
She enjoyed camping at Dummer’s Beach in Weld, gambling, shopping and spending time with her children, grandchildren and any sport they were participating in.
Survivors include her husband of over 50 years, Jonathan Gallant, of Old Orchard Beach; a son, Jonathan Gallant, and wife, Libbey, of Old Orchard Beach; a daughter, Michelle Gossett, and husband, Thomas, of Buxton; three brothers, Michael, Dan and Ricky McInnis of Rumford; two sisters, Kathleen Henkel and husband, John, of Wilton, and Maureen Adley and husband, Jake, of Rumford; a sister-in-law, Mary Goodwin, and her husband, Bob; two grandchildren, Wesley and Cooper; and nieces and nephews.
