BATH — The Chocolate Church Arts Center’s 2018 winter concert series concludes on Saturday, March 10, when American songwriter, singer and guitarist Andrew Bailie joins vocal powerhouse Papa Tim for a concert that draws on elements from funk, soul and rock. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Chocolate Church Annex, 804 Washington St.

“Andrew Bailie and Papa Tim are the example of why this concert series is so popular each year,” said Jennifer DeChant, executive director of the Chocolate Church Arts Center. “The intimate setting of our black box theatre is conducive for these performers to connect with the audience. Each show is unique and this finale concert of the series will have people dancing in the aisles.”

Bailie offers intricate songs crafted with raw emotion, fierce guitar work and an unmistakable, soaring voice. Bailie’s songs tap into the common human experiences that give us pause as well as set us ablaze. Bailie has also worked with platinum recording artist Aloe Blacc, members of Snarky Puppy, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and shared the stage with Res, Talib Kweli, Lalah Hathaway and others.

After his 2016 winter concert debut at the Chocolate Church, Papa Tim has catapulted into being one of the region’s most popular talent. Bath resident Tim Goad, as Papa Tim, is a wildly enthusiastic entertainer and soulful balladeer with a voice described as “equal parts Baptist Preacher and Bluesman.”

This concert promises to bring musical prowess to the stage with a selection of original jams and some twists on a few popular favorites. The audience will be clapping, dancing, moving and grooving right along. Tickets are $15 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are available by calling the box office 207-442-8455 or purchase online www.chocolatechurcharts.org.
