Women’s center seeking volunteers
LEWISTON — The Center for Wisdom’s Women is seeking volunteer companions.
The role requires women to have a professional background in social work, teaching, nursing, chaplaincy or other related fields, and companions work with local women. The commitment is a half-day weekly.

Daycare takes part in food program
LEWISTON — L/A Daycare Learning Center, 27 Westminster St., announces its participation in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program.
Meals are available at no separate charge to all enrolled participants. For more information, call 207-333-6009.
Cribbage league to play
LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League plays Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory, 65 Central Ave.
Doors open at 8 a.m., and games will begin at 9 a.m.
The league plays through April, but games are played year-round.
