HALLOWELL — The Harlow Gallery presents PLAY, a juried art exhibition featuring 44 works by 56 artists on view through March 24 in the upstairs gallery at the new location, 100 Water St.
PLAY is an exhibition of artwork inspired by children’s art or childhood and will coincide with Young at Art, Harlow Gallery’s annual kindergarten through eighth grade student art exhibition, which will be on view in the downstairs gallery through March 24.
The public is invited to attend and meet the artists at an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 9. Exhibitions are always free and open to the public. Gallery hours are noon to 6 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. The reception for Young at Art will be held separately on Saturday, March 10, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Participating local artists include Dennis Grafflin of Auburn; Meghan Nathanson, Freeport; Babs Wheelden, Kents Hill; and Penny Markley and Don Kerr, Winthrop.
