OXFORD — Two drivers were issued summonses Monday, after their pickup trucks collided on Route 26 near Reid’s Service & Sales, Oxford police Sgt. Rickie Jack said.

Ryan Warfield, 33, of South Paris, was charged with operating after suspension, operating an unregistered vehicle, operating without vehicle insurance and failure to stop at a stop sign, Jack said.

Kerry Phinney, 44, of Gray was charged with having an expired inspection sticker, Jack said.

Warfield came off Rollerrink Road without stopping and rammed Phinney’s truck that was headed south on Route 26, the sergeant said. Both men were shaken up and refused medical care.

The highway was closed while the accident was investigated and the highway cleared of extensive debris, Jack said.

Warfield’s 1997 Ford pickup was demolished, while Phinney’s 2016 Chevrolet had extensive damage.

Oxford police officer Zachary Bisson, Norway police officer Dan Brown and Oxford Oxford Fire and Rescue assisted Jack.
