Bel Canto Chorale will present sacred concerts at the following locations the weekend of March 16 to 18:

• Woodstock Seventh-day Adventist Church, 7 p.m. Friday, March 16.

• Dixfield Seventh-day Adventist Church, 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17.

• Nordica Auditorium, University of Maine Farmington, 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17.

• Victory Christian Church, Livermore, 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 18.

Bel Canto Chorale is under the direction of Lawrence Galera. Bel Canto is the premier vocal ensemble of Blue Mountain Academy in Hamburg, Pennsylvania.

Bel Canto (which means “beautiful singing” in Italian) is made up of 30 ninth- to 12th-graders. The group has toured throughout Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Romania, Hungary, South Korea and China. In addition, they have also performed throughout Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and New England.

The musical repertoire includes songs in English, Latin, French, Portuguese and German. A 15-day tour to Brazil is on their agenda in April.

Bel Canto’s mission is to continue the work of Christ’s disciples through music and to prepare the world for His second coming.

The concerts are free, however, free will offerings will taken for those who are able to help with the upcoming tour to Brazil. All concerts are open to the public.
