LEWISTON — “Bring your friends and join in for the most fun you’ve had since high school … said Mitch Thomas, host for the upcoming adult prom at the Franco Center, 7 p.m., Saturday, April 7.  The theme for the prom is “VEGAS … what happens at prom stays at prom!”

Thomas, who will be the “principal” of the fictitious L/A High School, offered this message for potential prom-goers: “We’re all adults here and you can do anything you want at Prom. However, there are rules! Get dressed up and be prepared for a prom night celebration loaded with lots of laughter, great food, music from across the decades, the ‘prom punch’ you always dreamed of, chaperons and many more surprises.”

The evening will also include a dance contest, the coronation of the Prom King and Queen and a photo booth. The doors and bar open at 6:30 p.m. A buffet dinner prepared by the Franco Center staff will be served from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. After that, guests will dance to tunes from across the second half of the 20th century until 11:30 p.m. D.J. Eric Lunt of Big Entertainment will return to perform as “Wolfman Jack”.

There are reserved seats remaining, but booking ahead is advised. Call 783-1585 or visit francocenter.org to reserve individual seats or tables for larger parties. This event is sponsored in part by Ann’s Flower Shop and Photo Finish.

Attendees may call Ann’s at 207-782-3457 to order corsages and boutonnieres, and have them held at will-call for the event. Guests are encouraged to come in prom attire: Las Vegas attire, or both. Call the Franco Center for more information.

Ticket price of $40 includes dinner, dancing, entertainment, on-site parking at the Continental Mill and some surprises.

Prom-goers from a previous event get into the spirit of the adult prom.
