Trail Blazers to have last meet of season

MEXICO — The Mexico Trail Blazers will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, downstairs at the Mexico Town Hall. This will be the last meeting of the season.

PARIS — AMVETS Post 777, which serves the Oxford Hills, holds monthly meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month at the American Legion, 12 Church Street.

WILTON — SeniorsPlus will be at the Wilton Free Public Library the first Thursday of every month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The organization will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families.

Sewing, craft group to meet 

OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Sewing and Craft Group meets from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays except the third Wednesday of each month at East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, 231 Rayville Road.

Members are a small group of women who bring their own projects to work on, although occasionally there are group projects.

Norway Legion to meet

NORWAY — Meetings at the Norway Legion will be held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.

Coffee hour with desserts will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesdays. All are welcome.

‘Astronomy for Everyone’ at library

RUMFORD — The Rumford Public Library will host “Astronomy for Everyone: Size & Scale of the Universe” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5.

The program includes video footage and a Q&A session with Kevin Manning, former consultant to NASA. In addition, a powerful telescope will be set up outdoors for viewing the craters on the moon, the rings of Saturn and other objects in the night sky.

Garden Angel Project meeting set

FARMINGTON — The Garden Angel Project will have its first meeting for the season at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at the Franklin County Extension Office.

Members will discuss the needs for the upcoming season and distribute applications, which are due back to the Extension Office by Tuesday, May 1.
