Auburn firefighters quickly extinguished a fire on the outside of Happy Days diner on Mill Street in Auburn shortly after noon Thursday. The cause was unknown and damage was minimal, a fire official said. The dining area of the restaurant was evacuated by the owner when he smelled smoke, officials said. (Chris Williams/Sun Journal)
