LEWISTON — Maureen Anne Babcock, 71, of Sabattus, passed away peacefully at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Sunday, March 25, with her husband and daughters by her side.
She was born Maureen Anne Folan on Jan. 7, 1947, in Dorchester, Mass., to Anne (Russell) Folan and Michael Folan.
Maureen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She devoted her time to her family and home, enjoyed cooking, baking and taking care of others. She touched many lives in many different ways throughout her life. Maureen was a dedicated Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Maureen’s parents, Anne and Michael; stepfather, Charles; brothers, Jackie, Donnie and Russell; along with her son, Charles (Chuckie), predeceased her.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 51 years, Donald; her two daughters, Lora Blackwell and her husband, Jaime, of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., and Kelly Roman and her husband, Jaime, of Moyock, N.C.; four grandchildren, who were her heart and joy, Sara, Gabby, Ryleigh and Xavier; as well as her little dog, Benji.
Maureen’s family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at CMMC for treating her with so much love, respect and dignity.
