The Maine War Tax Resistance Resource Center has begun its annual war tax day actions around the state. The first two were held at the University of New England Career Expo on March 1 and Southern Maine Community College on April 2.

At the event hosted by the University of Southern Maine/Lewiston-Auburn College on April 5, students received information on the organization’s Youth & Militarism Project, peace jobs for youth, truth in military recruiting and war tax resistance resources.

Two more events will be held locally, including an action at the Bethel Post Office on Saturday, April 14, and at the student union at the University of Maine in Farmington from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 17.
