LISBON FALLS — Four families were displaced by a fire at a multi-family home at 24 School St. on Tuesday evening, Lisbon Falls Deputy Fire Chief Michael Robitaille said.

“Everyone made it out safely, including the dog,” he said.

The cause was under investigation.

Crews opened up the roof to get some of the heat and smoke out, but the building is “possibly salvageable,” Robitaille said.

He was not sure whether the home was insured.

“Things went pretty decent, considering the size of the building,” he said.

The fire was reported at about 5 p.m. and under control by about 6:30 p.m.

Lisbon, Lewiston and Topsham departments responded to the scene.
