AUBURN — Police say they’ve suspended the search Thursday for a 5-year-old lost in the frigid Androscoggin River.
Thursday’s search focused on the river from where his 9-year-old brother was rescued to where there are rapids — about half a mile downstream, according to Deputy Police Chief Jason Moen.
The younger boy fell into the river near Bonney Park on Tuesday night. The boy’s 9-year-old brother was rescued and remains in critical condition at a hospital.
Moen says the search will resume Friday morning.
