LEWISTON — Leland R. “Biz” Bisbee, 71, of Mechanic Falls, passed away Monday, April 30, at Central Maine Medical Center. He was born in Lewiston on March 5, 1947, the son of Lewis and Myrtle Coleman Bisbee.

He attended Mechanic Falls schools and married Terry Nugent on Nov. 18, 1966. In the ’60s he worked at Gould & Scammon, then at George Levasseur’s gas station in Lewiston. He worked for the Maine Department of Transportation, retiring after 27 years in 1993. Later, he worked for the highway department and transfer station for the Town of Mechanic Falls for 12 years.

He loved farming, plowing and playing with his tractor. He was a member of the Grange and the Odd Fellows. He loved spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Terry, of Mechanic Falls; his children, Twilla Latham and husband, David, of Auburn, Stacey Monahan of Auburn, Brad Bisbee and wife, Candy, of Mechanic Falls, and Amy Brewer of Poland; sister-in-law, Sandra Hall, and husband, Landon; seven grandchildren, Keith and wife, Liza, Kelsie, Amanda, Kayla, Ashley, Shaylea and Bruce; three great-grandchildren, Jameson, Harmony and Lily; two brothers, Dan Bisbee and wife, Betty, of N.H., and Rodney Bisbee of Poland; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his grandson, Tyler.
