MEXICO — Residents of the 16 towns that send their students to the Vocational Region 9 School of Applied Technology unanimously approved a $2.18 million budget for 2018-19 on Wednesday, school administrator Brenda Gammon said Thursday.

A 2018-19 adult education budget of $358,927 was also approved, 24-1. The adult education program includes vocational and enrichment classes.

The vocational school has 11 programs, including automotive technology, truck driver training, building construction, certified nursing assistant, computer technology and culinary arts.

Students from Rumford, Mexico, Roxbury, Hanover, Bethel, Newry, Woodstock, Greenwood, Dixfield, Canton, Carthage, Peru, Andover, Byron, Gilead and Upton attend Region 9.
