LEWISTON — Central Maine Medical Center’s Sam and Jennie Bennett Breast Care Center has been named one of America’s Best Breast Centers by the Women’s Choice Award.
To be considered for the award, a center must have accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers; carry the Breast Imaging Center of Excellence seal from the American College of Radiology; and maintain a Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems recommendation rating above the national average.
The Sam and Jennie Bennett Breast Care Center ranked in the top 1 percent out of more than 4,800 nationwide that reported any of the three breast center measurements meeting all three criteria.
The center offers mammography and breast ultrasound services with a multidisciplinary team of care providers, including breast surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists and plastic surgeons.
The Sam and Jennie Bennett Breast Care Center is at 12 High St., Suite 103, in Lewiston.
