SCARBOROUGH — Judy Marilyn Hasey, 76, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 3. She died of complications from a high-risk vascular surgery.

She was born in Greenville on June 13, 1941, to Harry Everett Hasey and Pearl Thompson Hasey.

She spent her youth in Bangor and graduated from Bangor High School in 1959. She got her Bachelor of Education from the University of Maine in 1974.

Judy spent most of her life married. Her first husband was Fredrick A. Rice, with whom she had three children. Her second husband was Roy O. Nisbett, who had four children of his own. She then lived with her companion, Ken Kokernack, whose children she embraced as her own.

She is survived by Frederick M. (Cathleen Cline) Rice, Heidi R. (Dwayne) Dunn and Amy M. Rice; her stepchildren Carollee Starkey, Kelly Bushey, Laurie Varnum and David Nisbett and their families; her beloved grandchildren Jacob Trickey, Lauren Trickey, Travis Dunn, Tyler Dunn, Freddie Rice and Morgan Reilly, siblings include Barbara (Tom) Andrews, Richard (Jane Dunnett) Hasey. There are numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives who held a special place in her heart.

She was predeceased by brothers, Harry (Sylvia) Hasey and David Hasey.
