LEWISTON — Maine Event Comedy presents Boston’s Brett Johnson at Bear Bones Beer, Thursday, May 17, at 7 p.m. He’ll be joined by fellow comics Leah Douglass, Ken Ramey, Nick Gordon and host Dee Turcotte. An open-mic will follow the show.

Johnson’s sly, cerebral joke writing and animated storytelling combine for an act that’s as entertaining as it is confessional. He’s known for his willingness to explore delicate subjects and expressive physicality.

Douglass was a part of last year’s Portland Comedy Festival and Women of New England Show.

New Gloucester’s Gordon has been winning audiences over with his self-deprecating humor.

Ramey is a fixture in the New Hampshire circuit and a familiar face at the award-winning Comedy Night at the Shaskeen.

Following a short break from stand-up, Turcotte returns to the stage, primed and ready to share insights and anecdotes of life and love.

The show is free and for ages 21-and-older. Bear Bones Beer is located at 43 Lisbon St., Lewiston. FMI call 207-513-0742 or e-mail [email protected]
