• May 14, 4:39 p.m.: A 17-year-old male was injured when he stepped into the path of motorcyclist Mitchell Chase, 47, of Hanover on Backkingdom Road. Chase “saw the pedestrian and went to swing a little bit wider to avoid him,” Police Chief Roy Hodsdon said, but the male, who was wearing ear buds, turned left into the motorcycle’s path. The male was taken to Rumford Hospital for a possible concussion. Chase was not hurt.

• May 15, 9:01 p.m.: Dominick Knowles, 18, of Rumford was charged with operating under the influence and operating without a license after a crash on the Rumford-Mexico Bridge at the bottom of Lincoln Avenue and Main Street. Knowles was taken to the Oxford County Jail in Paris. There was damage to the right side of the vehicle, but not the bridge.
