LEWISTON — P. Joanne Hillwig, 66, of Lewiston passed away Wednesday, May 23, with her loving daughter by her side.
She was born in Lewiston on Oct. 29, 1951. She was a dedicated employee of the Lewiston Police Department for 21 years. Her work ethic was like no other.
She was a kind, generous soul, always making sure others had what they needed. She loved to work, spend time with her family and the Hallmark Channel from her comfy chair at home.
She is survived by her only daughter, Alison, and her husband, Sean; two grandchildren: Maegan and Amber; three sisters: Claire, Cecile and Sue; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother, Alice; two brothers: Chuck and Jean-Claude; and one sister, Mitch.
A special thanks to the Adams House staff at Marshwood for taking such great care of her and treating her as much more than a patient.
