LEWISTON — Military veteran Jared Golden, Democratic candidate for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District, will hold a town hall at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9.

It will be held at the Bates Mill Atrium, 36 Chestnut St. Doors open at noon.

“The people of Maine’s 2nd Congressional District deserve a representative in Congress who is available, accessible, and who will speak with them openly and honestly,” said Golden, the assistant House Majority Leader.

“I am committed to holding town halls across the 2nd District, and am looking forward to being in my home town of Lewiston on June 9.”

Golden’s campaign has been endorsed by state Reps. Jim Handy, Roger Fuller, Heidi Brooks and Gina Melaragno, all of Lewiston, and Bettyann Sheats of Auburn and Jess Fay of Poland, and Sen. Nate Libby of Androscoggin County.

The town hall is free and open to the public.
