Cory King, left, as Juror #3, threatens Juror #8, played by John Blanchette, right during a recent rehersal at Community Little Theatre for “Twelve Angry Men,” the award-winning drama by Reginald Rose, which opens this weekend at the Community Little Theatre. Directed by Jackie McDonald, “Twelve Angry Men” is about an all-male jury in the 1950s that must decide whether to reach a guilty verdict and sentence a 19-year-old defendant to death. At the beginning of the play, 11 jurors vote “guilty.” Only one juror believes that the young man might be innocent, and he sets out to convince the others that “reasonable doubt” exists. The jurors are forced to investigate the reasons behind their rush to judgment, and the biases that they each have brought with them to the table. The play will be performed on June 8, 9, 14, 15, 16 at 7:30 p.m. and June 10 and 17 at 2 p.m. at the Great Falls Performing Arts Center, 30 Academy St., Auburn. Tickets may be purchased online or at the door. More information is available at online at www.laclt.com.
