Residents from the New Auburn and Newbury Street areas will meet Wednesday in the City Council chambers to voice opinions and concerns about neighborhood conditions in need of improvement. The second in a series of three, the hearing is intended to allow resident input for a study required by the federal government for the acquisition of Community Development Block Grant funds. The study focuses on five target areas, attempting to identify and prioritize problems or deterioration leading to unsafe living conditions. Up to $1.2 million is available this year to the city for neighborhood improvements.
