OTISFIELD – A public hearing on the $1.9 million municipal budget is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Otisfield Community Hall, according to Chairman Hal Ferguson.

Ferguson said the 2019 spending plan is $30,817 more than this year.

He also advised that there are two new articles on the warrant for the annual town meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 30.

“The first article is to see if the town will vote to raise no more than $25,000 to purchase a four-wheel drive, crew cab pickup truck for the Fire Department,” Ferguson said.

“It would replace the department’s 1984 truck.”

The second article asks is residents want to transfer the Henniger Park lease fees to the road equipment reserve account for the next two years.
