GREENE — Violinist Ashley Liberty and pianist Daniel Strange will present “Hot Fiddle” at 2 and 7 p.m. Friday, June 22, at the Araxine Wilkins Sawyer Memorial, 371 Sawyer Road.

Liberty and Strange have been performing together professionally since their marriage in 2007. As a composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist, Liberty creates new music for the couple to perform in addition to their favorite classical music. Her violin playing has taken her to concert halls around the world. Lately, in addition to her concerts with Strange, she performs in the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra in Naples, Florida, and cares for their children, Harrison, 4, and Summer, 10 months.

Strange is director of contemporary keyboard at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, where he also directs the award-winning American Music Ensemble. He is also the director of the award-winning, high school, All-Star Jazz Ensemble through the Community Arts Program in Coral Gables.

Strange often performs with Broadway star, Norm Lewis and for touring Broadway shows such as “Jersey Boys” and “Wicked.” He has presented many clinics at major conferences.

Both performances are free. Visit sawyer-foundation.com or www.facebook.com/sawyer.foundation1937.
