I offer congratulations to Republican voters of Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties for their in-depth research of the candidates, especially for the position of district attorney.

Their chosen candidate has his license to practice law currently under suspension (his license has been suspended multiple times before); a former client has a protection-from-abuse order against him for claimed sexual assault; and he has been reprimanded for failing to meet a lawyer’s “standards of care and judgment.”

The candidate who voters in those counties did not select has previously served as a state representative; worked as an assistant district attorney in Sagadahoc County since 2015; and serves as an Army National Guard JAG officer.

Can anyone tell me which candidate is more qualified?

Just saying — way to pick ’em.
