LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library, 56 Main St., is accepting readers into its Summer Reading Program, themed “Libraries Rock.”

Instead of individual reading goals, participants will be working together to build the Wall of Sound, a bulletin board that will represent everything read as a group.

Readers can drop in at any point from June 23 to Aug. 2 and participate in the summer program. Every book or 30 minutes of reading will be added to the Wall of Sound. Earn prizes for books read and drop in for the summer activities.

Kids and teens 18 and younger can also play to win the Summer Reading Challenge each time they check out books this summer. They can check out books at the circulation desk and get a scratch ticket that will either be an instant winner or a raffle ticket for the end of summer prize.

The Summer Reading Program also includes some special events on Thursday nights at 6 p.m.:

Chewonki Traveling Natural History Programs — Scales and Tales: June 28. This is a chance to see reptiles up close.
