AUBURN — Marie A. Picard, 81, of Auburn passed away Friday, June 1, in Auburn. She was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Fishdale, Mass., to parents William Heroux and Agnes (Dubois) Heroux.

Marie entered the gates of heaven suddenly June 1. Marie enjoyed her cat, Precious, and loved helping others, loved to cook and was a great chef, baking pies and cooking meals for family and friends. She worked as a fancy stitcher. She was a great seamstress and did projects for anyone who needed a sewing job done. She will be sorely missed by everyone.

Marie is survived by loving fiance, Norman Croteau, and his children Diane, Gary and Mike; daughter, Linda Nielsen and partner, Don Shink; son, Raymond Lamothe and partner, Diane Carmen; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; four stepchildren and their spouses.

Marie was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Picard; and parents, William and Agnus Heroux; brothers Jim and Butch Heroux.
