We at Frye School Senior Housing are anxiously looking for a Tock board game, “Super Tock 4.” It’s an old Canadian board game that is still very popular, but we haven’t been able to find any in our area stores. ANSWER: It would be wonderful if a reader would donate this game to these dear people. If you would like to purchase a new game for them, I did find them online at Amazon, Walmart, Kmart, and F.G. Bradley’s. The game is between $20 and $30. It’s similar to Ludo, Aggravation or Sorry!, in which players race their four tokens around the game board from start to finish. The objective is to be the first to take all of one’s tokens “home.” It uses playing cards instead of dice. Frye School Senior Housing is at 140 Ash St. Lewiston.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: We all have family and friends who have serious illnesses such as cancer and immune diseases. We feel helpless in being able to support them. There is a way you can make a phenomenal difference toward their good health by giving the gift of life.

In our family, my niece is going through a second round of Acute Myeloma Leukemia (AML) after four years of being cancer-free. This entails her having to go through chemo treatments then a bone marrow transplant. In her honor, and for many others suffering through diseases that require a bone marrow transplant, our family is seeking donors through hosting bone marrow cheek swabs. It only takes minutes to do a swab, which will be tested by Be the Match  (bethematch.org). The best and most successful chances of matches are usually from people 18-44. However, others may choose to test as well.

We hope to see you at one of the following bone marrow cheek swabs: Tuesday, July 10, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Carriage House, 1119 Lisbon St., Lewiston; Friday, July 13, 2 to 7 p.m., Our Lady of the Rosary’s Maxwell Gill Hall, 131 High St., Sabattus. There is no cost and there’s a free raffle for assorted prizes to all who swab.
