WILTON — A Chesterville man was seriously hurt Friday when he crashed his motorcycle on Route 2.

Police said Bruce Hall, 32, was taken first to Franklin Memorial Hospital before he was moved to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston for injuries suffered in the wreck.

Police Chief Heidi Wilcox said Hall was driving a 2015 Suzuki VZR180 at about 1:30 p.m. when he lost control of the bike and crashed near the Big Apple.

Police closed a section of Route 2 for more than an hour as emergency crews responded and an investigation got underway.

Police Officer Brian Lynch was investigating the cause of the crash later Friday. He was assisted on scene by Maine State Police, Jay Police and the Wilton Fire Department.

Hall was still being evaluated later Friday. His condition was not available.
