RUMFORD — Rumford Grange No. 115 celebrated Rose Dyke’s 50 years of membership with the Order on June 2.

Dyke joined the now-closed Canton Grange when she was 14 years old and her membership has continued through the years. In 1971 she married John Dyke and they have five children, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. After high school she became a nurses aid and worked in that capacity for 25 years. Now enjoying her retirement, Dyke makes quilts, knits and crochets.

She was presented a 50-year membership certificate from the National Grange, a personal letter and membership cards from the Master and Secretary of the State Grange, and a 50-year pin from the Rumford Grange.

Rose Dyke, right, is presented an award for 50 years of membership with the Rumford Grange No. 115 by Methyl Park, who is secretary and treasurer of the Grange.
