GRAY — Maine nature artists will visit the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7.

Several area artists as they demonstrate nature-based art and display a variety of items for sale. The artists use various mediums to capture the essence of wildlife and nature.

Several local artists will be on hand with their art based on the natural world. Paul Brown, Georgie Kanach, Terri Mason and Megan Richardson will be exhibiting and offering a variety of their art for sale. They will also be demonstrating their techniques.

Paul Brown will demonstrate bird wood carvings, and will have pieces at different stages, the tools of the trade and several finished birds to view.

Kanach’s artwork ranges from two-dimensional paintings to relief carving, airbrushing and jewelry making. She works with mediums such as wood, antlers, feathers and eggs. A variety of her art will be available for purchase.

Mason has been painting for 25 years and specializes in Maine wildlife and scenics on driftwood, slate and other natural mediums. Loons, moose, bears and many other Maine wildlife are featured in her art.
