LEWISTON — The St. Vincent de Paul Society has awarded scholarships for three area students who will be attending college in the fall. They are Madison Leslie, Jonah Sautter and Sydney Drew.
Madison Leslie attended Saint Dominic Academy and will attend Franklin Pierce University to study media and communication. She was the team captain for varsity lacrosse at Saint Dominic Academy and played varsity basketball. She also was the lead cantor in the music ministry. Leslie likes to write, and stated English was her favorite course.
Jonah Sautte attended Lisbon High School and will attend University of Maine Farmington in September to study community health leading to a degree in teaching. He was a Boys State delegate in 2017, and received several awards in basketball. Sautte was also the Lisbon High School Unified Basketball Student Coach for three years. His favorite class is science.
Sydney Drew attended Oak Hill High School and will attend Husson University to study secondary education. Drew was captain of her varsity soccer team, and played basketball for two years. She also attended Olympia Snowe Women’s leadership Institute. Drew’s interest in in life science.
