In his third race as a professional Isaiah Harris picked up his first win, holding on at the end for a victory in the 800-meter run final of the International City Meeting of Barcelona meet Wednesday in Barcelona, Spain.

The Lewiston native crossed the line in a time of 1:46.11 to win the Catalan Athletics Federation event. He finished 0.10 seconds ahead of Yassine Hethat of Algeria, with Hethat’s compatriot, Mohamed Belbachir, 0.20 seconds behind Harris.

Harris’ winning time was well off his personal-best mark of 1:44.42.
