NORWAY — The Norway Country Club Ladies Golf Association is sponsoring the fifth annual Drive Out Cancer Golf Tournament on Thursday, Aug. 16, at the Norway Country Club on Route 118.
The women are collecting monetary donations and items for their silent auction. Donations of any amount are appreciated. Individuals or businesses may be a bronze sponsor for $300, a silver sponsor for $500 or a gold sponsor for $1,000.
These sponsors will have their name on a banner by the clubhouse and name listed in the program. For $100, a business or individual will have their name on a sign at a golf tee.
In addition to the 18-hole golf scramble, there will be a silent auction, which will begin Sunday, Aug. 12. Anyone interested in making a donation or participating in the women’s golf tournament may call 207-462-5187 or 207-929-9372 or E-mail info@crcofwm.org.
Donations are tax-deductible with proceeds from the Drive Out Cancer Tournament donated to the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine, a nonprofit at 199 Main St.
