LEWISTON — Organist Harold Stover will perform at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 18 at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. His program will feature works across the centuries from Boyvin, Mozart, Widor and Langlais.
Stover, a graduate of the Juilliard School in New York, has performed at such venues as Westminster Abbey in London, the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and has also made frequent appearances on “Pipedreams,” the nationally-syndicated radio program of organ music broadcast locally on Maine Public Radio. Stover now directs the Portland-based chorus Renaissance Voices and teaches at the Portland Conservatory of Music.
The Basilica’s concert series is supported, in part, by The Saints Peter and Paul Society. Concerts are free and open to the public and donations to the organ restoration project are welcome.
