MECHANIC FALLS — Ambulances took several people from the site of a two-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of North Main and Bucknam streets. The extent of the injuries was not known.

Four ambulances and a LifeFlight helicopter were sent to the intersection at about 3:40 p.m.

One man who lives near the crash site said he was told the victims included a teenage boy, his mother and three children, who had been riding in the backseat of one of the automobiles.
