Terry Hayes has my support in the race for governor this fall. I have known her for more than 30 years. She has consistently demonstrated a record of independent, nonpartisan problem-solving and fiscal stewardship as a state legislator and state treasurer, which positions her well to address and solve problems in health care, the economy and in Maine’s political system.
On her vision for Maine, for example — to get big money out of politics — she is committed to being the only clean election candidate for governor, which means she is the only candidate in the race who is accountable to the people of Maine, not party leaders, special interests or wealthy contributors.
Residents who want to vote for the candidate who is most qualified, who will reduce partisanship and unite Maine, should vote as I will — for Terry Hayes.
