LEWISTON — Maine Event Comedy presents 28-year comedy veteran Mark Scalia at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Baxter Brewing. He’ll be joined by Mike Holmes, Arty Przychodzki and host Mark Turcotte.
Scalia has entertained thousands of people across the U.S. and Canada. Since starting his career in Boston, he’s developed into a strong headlining comedian with relatable material and spot-on delivery. His nationwide experience includes stops at Stand-Up New York, The Improv and Catch a Rising Star.
As an emcee and corporate host/facilitator, he is also an accomplished actor, director, voice-over artist and host of Radio Irregardless, a weekly internet radio show.
Holmes has performed at the Rhode Island Comedy Connection, Hartford Funnybone and Nick’s Comedy Stop in Boston. He’s also worked with national acts including Rich Vos, Andy Kindler and Big Jay Oakerson.
Przychodzki, known as Arty P, was a comic in residence at the world famous Comedy Studio in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He performs throughout New England and produces a weekly show in Somerville.
Turcotte was a recent selection to the Boston, Cleveland and North Carolina comedy festivals.
