CHICOPEE, Mass. (AP) — State police have released the name of the Maine woman who died in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 391 earlier this week.

The victim was identified Tuesday as 32-year-old Amanda Coward of Poland, Maine.

Police say Coward was a passenger in a Volvo that went out of control, struck a pickup truck and crashed into the guardrail shortly after 6 p.m. Monday. The pickup rolled over.

Coward was taken to a Springfield hospital where she was pronounced dead.

According to a news release from the Massachusetts State Police, the driver of the 2004 Volvo, a 31-year-old male from Westfield, was transported to Bay State Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver of the Ford pickup truck, a 31-year-old male from West Springfield, was transported to Bay State Medical Center with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
