NORWAY – The Planning Board voted Thursday evening to approve a site plan application for Moss Brook Church, which is looking to move into the former Grover Gundrilling building on Aldrich Avenue.

Mike Booker, pastor of the church, said Moss Brook Church has been meeting at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School auditorium in Paris for the past 15 years, with up to 300 people attending most Sundays.

He said the church has outgrown the school and is looking to spend up to $1.2 million to buy and renovate the former Grover Gundrilling building, which has been empty since Grover Gundrilling closed the branch last year.

The Planning Board also voted Thursday to approve a building permit for Stephens Memorial Hospital to upgrade its pharmacy at 181 Main St.

Chairman Dennis Gray said Stephens Memorial Hospital was doing a “general restructuring” of its pharmacy, and “needed a building permit to move some of the walls around and do its renovations.”
