SCARBOROUGH (WGME) — A man has been hospitalized after Scarborough police say he set himself and a trailer on fire Tuesday night.
Police say they received a call around 9:30 p.m. about a 27-year-old man with a gun.
The Scarborough police chief says when officers arrived the man refused to comply and went into the trailer.
The chief says he then set the trailer and himself on fire and came out about 30 seconds later.
The fire was quickly put out and the State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
The suspect is at Maine Medical Center with minor injuries.
