LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library is accepting donations of gently used or new books, DVDs and CDs for its annual Apple Pumpkin Festival book sale, Sept. 29.
It will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the downstairs auditorium at the library, 56 Main St.
Those with large donations are asked to call 207-897-3631 to make arrangements for the delivery.
September is also national Library Card Sign-up Month. Residents are asked to bring identification and a piece of mail with their current address.
Preschool Story Time featuring stories, activities and crafts will be held at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday.
Book Group will continue its series of PBS’ Great American Read selections with “Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn. The meeting is at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13. The Great American Read features novels from PBS’ survey of America’s best loved books.
LEGO Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. This month’s challenge will be creating a Star Wars character.
Knit/Crochet will meet every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. In September, the group will work on crocheting owls and knitting infinity scarves. The group also helps on other craft projects people have.
